Learning Support
Learning Support exists for all students who require or request extra help with classroom tasks, including assignments and skill development. Students who have been appraised as Level 1, 2 or 3 have access to the Learning Support Facility and work intensively with the Learning Support Teacher using the student’s Individual Education Program (IEP) in order to make positive educational gains. Learning Support offer flexible programs in a supportive environment.
Earlier in the year students and parents nominated 9 teachers from our school for NEiTA teaching awards for their commitment to education at Pittsworth. I am pleased to be able to announce that Head of Department, Languages, Ms Kristy Thomson has been identified as one of sixty award recipients, nationally. I think that this is a thoroughly deserved and appropriate recognition for Ms Thomson who sets high expectations and challenges her students to rise to those expectations.
